Charlotte (NC) — The Charlotte Independence professional soccer team and GoodRoad CiderWorks are excited to announce a 2019 partnership, including a new cider to be named by the fans. Fans are asked to think of Independence and Cider themed names for the cider and submit them to the club’s social media pages before Friday, February 29th.

The blackberry cider is hand-made with Perry Lowe Orchard apples from Taylorsville, North Carolina and will be available at Jack’s House Soccer Bar, Independence home games, the GoodRoad taproom and select locations in Charlotte. It will have a blue color to match the Independence jersey and team colors. The winner of the naming contest will receive a $50 gift card to the GoodRoad taproom (117 Southside Dr, Charlotte, NC 28217) and an Independence polo.

GoodRoad CiderWorks opened its cidery and taproom in March 2017, and is about to celebrate a second anniversary. GoodRoad has been the exclusive cider partner of the Charlotte Independence since early last season.
