The Charlotte Independence hit the road for the first time in the 2019 USL Championship season as they face off against second-place Saint Louis FC in Fenton, Missouri. The two teams have not played each other since 2017, as Saint Louis competed in the USL Championship Western conference last season.
Saint Louis played last Saturday at World Wide Technology Park versus the Tampa Bay Rowdies, coming away with one point. Prior to that matchup, Anthony Pulis’ side notched a week one win versus Indy Eleven and a dramatic away win at Nashville SC a week later.

Additionally, one of his favorite targets is another former Independence player in forward Caleb Calvert, and Independence fans should remember how dangerous Calvert can be in the box.
