
Charlotte (NC) — The Charlotte Independence professional soccer team will host Kick Breast Cancer Night presented by Novant Health on Saturday, October 19th at the Sportsplex at Matthews. Accenting Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Independence will — figuratively — Paint the Pitch Pink with pink corner flags, pink flowers in the VIP suite, pink smoke bombs and pink, player-worn, warm-up jerseys.
Additionally, the Independence will celebrate those who are affected by breast cancer with special guests from Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center & Novant Women’s Imaging, Carolina Breast Friends and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Gates open at 6:00 PM ET and the first 500 guests to the game will receive a free pink rally towel courtesy of Novant Health.

In an effort to fundraise for the breast cancer research and support, the Independence will be auctioning player-worn, autographed, pink warm-up jerseys, team-autographed, pink corner-flags and a team-autographed, pink game ball. The auction is now available for bids and will run through the end of the match on October 19th.
At 7:00 PM ET, the Charlotte Independence will continue in USL Championship action as the team takes on Ottawa Fury FC for the final game of the 2019 season. Tickets are on sale at https://www.charlotteindependence.com.
